xp

So, are you saying that you want to go to town and train for two months? Right now? Maybe you can go back to Greyhelm and train with those knight guys. Or maybe head into Grito and train with the antiMarivhon.

The adventure's not over! Some might say it's only just begun! Don't worry, I've been keeping extremely detailed records and know how much xp you've earned since the last time.

It's okay.

I'm 2nd level....and feeling that Vrill is right about his beliefs regarding our DM's wayward approach to 1st edition. I only need 500 xp's to level and If I get too much I can't get continue to accure xp to get to 4th level because you stop gaining any additional xp beyond the level one is about to attain. I just worry about the face we are presenting to the world. A game wherein one struggles and is not rewarded. You get the jist....blah blah, I'm drunk. Not really, not yet! How are things?

The question at hand is at what point in the adventure do you get experience. This generally occurs, in a computer game, with the end of each combat or solution to a puzzle or quest. In a table-top game, this occurs at the end of a module, when the PCs have successfully returned to town and no more dangers await them.

While you successfully returned to town, danger clearly awaited you and your adventure was not over! Thus, the xp continues to build up.

And things are good, thanks. Had a nice vacation. Doing anything for Thanksgiving?

Well I think it's silly to believe that we will ever get to a point in the game where we face no more dangers. Dave a some others are coming over for turkey etc. Harry potter pissed me off but just a little. Too much was missing and it just didn't do the book any justice. The story was lacking.
