...And one word keeps coming back in conversations around Delver’s Square.

“Utterdark”.



Now, that's pretty fucking dark.

Good god. I think 'gaming' actually describes some very different things. Perhaps 90% or so is about the 'Utterdark' and its kind. Maybe 10% is about something else.

Or, as gaming is a somewhat creative endeavor, maybe it just reflects what we already know about the population at large. The 90% thing is why I don't even bother to look for a gaming group. I might tell someone I game, but I don't think it normally conveys to that person what I am talking about. -It's has to do with the difference between the Matrix and Blade Runner. Subtle at times, but real. My biggest problem with the gaming world is that it seems to have whole-heartedly embraced the Utterdark.

Not to say that Utterdark isn't utterly fantastic...

Oh, and BTW, I think that thing has us pegged. As much as we hate to admit it.
